Dry-type transformer has noise. If the sound of the transformer is larger than normal and there is obvious noise, but the current and voltage are not obviously abnormal, it may be caused by the loosening of the internal clamp or the screw pressing the iron core, which increases the vibration of the silicon steel sheet.
Dry-type transformers in operation is a little noise is not, this is a very normal phenomenon, but sometimes there will be a lot of noise, which shows that the sound can be judged by the transformer is faulty. In fact, the sound of dry-type transformer can also be seen whether there is damage to the phenomenon. Generally speaking, the dry-type transformer has several problems in the sound, which indicates that the dry-type transformer has failed and must be repaired. Common dry-type transformers in the operation of these sound problems that your dry-type transformer is broken, the following we look at it:
Dry-type transformers have sound discharge. If partial discharge occurs inside or on the surface of the transformer, the sound will be mixed with "crackling" discharge sound. When this happens, if blue corona or sparks can be seen near the transformer bushing at night or in rainy weather, it indicates that the porcelain is seriously polluted or the equipment clamp is in poor contact. If the internal discharge of the transformer is electrostatic discharge of ungrounded components or poor contact of the tap changer, the transformer shall be further tested or stopped.
Dry-type transformers have water boiling sound. If the sound of the transformer is mixed with the sound of water boiling and the temperature changes sharply, and the oil level rises, it should be judged that the transformer winding has a short circuit fault, or the tap changer is seriously overheated due to poor contact. At this time, the transformer should be stopped immediately for inspection.
The dry-type transformer has a popping sound. If the transformer sound is mixed with uneven cracking sound, it is the transformer internal or surface insulation breakdown, at this time should immediately stop the transformer inspection.
The above sound problem is a detail that cannot be ignored. We should grasp it well, otherwise it will be really bad. Not only will the use of dry-type transformers not work well, but they may also shorten their service life!
